Microsoft Windows Explorer là công cụ cho phép ta duyệt file, thư mục và các đĩa trong máy tính. nó được đặt shortcut tại Start menu --> Accessories.

Khi ta khởi động WE, nó ngầm định mở My Documents của người dùng đang login. tuy nhiên cái My Documents hiển nhiên là có sẵn trên Start menu cho nên sẽ có lúc bạn muốn đặt thư mục ngầm định sang 1 vị trí khác.
Để thay đổi ngầm định cho shortcut này ta:
1.
Click Start, vào mục All Programs, vào tiếp Accessories, bấm chuột phải vào Windows Explorer, chọn Properties.

2.
Trong mục Target hiện %%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe
Chuyển đến cuối ô, gõ thêm /n, /e, /select, C:\
Bây giờ nó sẽ là %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /n, /e, /select, C:\
bấm OK.

Bây giờ mở Windows Explorer, nó sẽ hiển thị như ý bạn muốn.
