Generally, when we embed a MP3 audio in a PPT file, it could be normally played on the local pc. However, when we perform this PPT file on other pcs, it can't be correctly performed unless we package the MP3 file together with the PPT file and paste them to the pc. But it is quite inconvenience. Is there any way to built-in MP3 audio to the PPT file? The answer is completely yes.
The reason why the audio can't be copied with the PPT file is Office only support built-in. wav audio by default. While all the other multimedia files will probably be performed as links. What’s more, the maximum size of a embed wav file in PPT is 100KB. Thus, audios which have beyond this size will probably be automatically recognized as links by PPT.
Surely, we are able to customize the restriction. The specific method is to press “Tools” - “Options” - “Normal” and then customize the 100KB which is close to “link sound is not less than” to the size that you want.
The embed wav file maximum could be 50, 000KB which could meet our basic needs.
Next, let’s look at ways to insert an audio to the entire PPT.
1. Edit PPT and find out the slide which you want to start the music.
2. Open “slide transitions”
3. Click the drop-down menu of the “Sound” and choose “Other sound”. Then choose the audio that you want as well as press “OK”.
4. Start playing slides, the music will be played from this slide to the following slides.
Take into account don’t choose “Apply to all slides”.
If the audio is wav format and it is not larger than the set audio size, it may be embedded to the PPT. In this way, it may be normally played on other pcs. Also, you can also convert PPT to video (http://www.powerpoint2video.com/leawo-ppt-to-video-converter-pro.html) to bind the audio and video with the PPT and protect the PPT from being edited.
